There is currently planning to begin a Disney owned theme park in Texas, east of San Antonio (which would place it close to Sea World). Current estimates are for a start date within 5 years. Plans are for the park to be off I-10 between San Antonio and Houston, but closer to San Antonio near a town called Seguin. This was confirmed when the construction engineers met in the city recently. Also in the area are Schlitterbahn the worlds #1 water park. A Six Flags Theme Park called Fiesta Texas, and several other San Antonio tourist sites.

Universal Theme Parks and Sea World are soon gonna crawl out of Flroida with their tails between their legs. They know that Disney is bigger than an empire. Anyway, I heard talk about a Disneyland Waterpark across the street from Disneyland at the Anaheim Convention Center. I think it might happen.

There have been no 'officially' announced plans for a new Disney World theme park, and they've hinted that it might be years before a new theme park is built -- numbers are still down from 9/11, and they are busy renovating and adding new attractions, etc. to the existing parks.

edited to add:
*CMR*: They are building a resort hotel in Hawaii -- not a theme park, just a hotel.

At this time Disney has decided not to expand into any other areas and are looking to improve upon the parks they currently have.
Of course, Universal is opening a park in the middle east (Dubai, I believe) so Disney may end up following suit, although I think that one in India may be a better idea financially.

Universal is really expanding Globally! Disney is taking things a bit on the cautious side.
There is always lots of specualtion about where Disney is going to build next... They buy lots of land everywhere...

There really is no telling where it will be. Disney likes to keep things under wraps to keep the magic a secret. They will build one soon enough.
