We are looking for a few places to eat in the Orlando area OUTSIDE of the theme parks. We have a picky 10 year old daughter but everybody has chicken tenders right!?

I went to Orlando a few years ago and my niece LOVED Planet Hollywood. It's a fun atmosphere and it's got great food.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Orlando area is in the Mall of Millena called Brio. It's off of I-4. It's an Italian restaurant and the food is great. We were going to go there a couple of weeks ago when we were in Orlando, and on a Sunday afternoon (3:00) there was a 40 minute wait. There's also a Cheesecake Factory right across from Brio. Their menu is big. Someone mentioned Giordano's on 192. I will agree they have the best pizza. It's Chicago style, but you can order regular pizza too. The Chicago style takes about 30 minutes to cook, but it's well worth the wait.

You will find the family dining chains everywhere (Perkins, Denny's Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc)

Restaurant Row (Sandlake Rd between I-drive and Bay Hill) has many upscale and medium priced restaurants.

The Millenia Mall and surrounding area is crowded with places - Mimi's might be best for a picky 10 year old.

There is a place near the University of Central Florida called DiAmici. It is a small Italian resturant but the food is absolutely delicious! The service is awesome and you get so much food for your money. I always have them make me fried ravoli and along with that I get a salad and really good bread all for about $9. They also have beer and wine. The atmosphere is very nice. It is located on Alafaya in the same parking lot as Froggers, Platos Closet, and a Planet Smoothie.

Dixie Crossroads near Bass Pro Shop, a locally owned seafood place with Rock Shrimp, a local delicacy. Kid friendly, good food, good value, not a chain. Rock shrimp will make you are eating lobster, broiled is best.

Well one thing you could do is get a Kid's Eat Free Card. It allows the Child to order off a Kids Meal with a paying adult.

The resteraunts are all off of property miuns Raglan Road at Downt Town Disney...

Well if you like pizza I recommend Giradano's on 192, its not in the main tourist area, so its not as crowded, or Chevy's for mexican food. Both places have really good food, here is the websites for both of them.
