Are you talking about the Walt Disney World CareerStart Program? I've been doing research about careers at Walt Disney World because it's my dream to work there someday and I recently came across the Walt Disney World CareerStart Program website. I think this must be what you're talking about... they have apartments for the students who are accepted, you take classes and receive credits that certain colleges will accept, and they assign you a job on property, and you become a Walt Disney World Cast Member. They're accepting applications for the next Program which is to begin at the end of January. I've already filled out the application, I'm just waiting for a letter of recommendation to send along with it.

Here's the link to the website...

It looks like really great program. They offer housing (of course, you have to pay, and they'll deduct your rent from your paychecks so you don't have to worry about making payments yourself and on time. You get all the benefits of a Walt Disney World Cast Member, such as free admission into any of the parks and discounts on accomodations, park tickets, and dining for yourself, family, and friends.

All of the resorts have transportation to and from the parks and downtown Disney. You can also use the monorail to get to and from Epcot, MK, the Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian Resorts. Technically, you could get to any resort by bus from any hotel - it might not be easy though. You would have to go from your hotel to a place where all of the buses are such as a park or the TTC and then get on that resort's bus. This would take a while and I'm not sure why you would want to waste the time - but it is possible. Another option is to take a cab one or two times.

Yes there is a school there to let you learn how to be a Disney employee. you even can see the building and all Disney employees have to go there. I don't know if you have a question? but your statement is right.

Might be one of these programs. You can always call Disney HR and ask them as well.
