Hi all.
I'll spent my holidays this year (August) in miami.
My question is it dangerous in august? like Hurricanes? or something.
I don't want to waste my money sitting all day inside cause of the hurricanes.

I live in CT. I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years. He was the only thing keeping mehere and there is no way we are ever going to resume a relationship. So I am ready for a change and ive always wanted to live in warmer weather. Going to Florida next month, dotn mind the heat as I am priginally from the Caribbean. My parents, sister and cousin all want to move but I am not sure if I should. Ilive in a small town and Im sick of the cold. Plus its getting pretty expensive to live down here. Idont want to stay by myself.We are looking to live about half hour from Miami.Any tips, or advise.

i was born and raised in ny for twenty years, joined the army so i could get out and experience more. sent me to washington state and i hate it! florida sounds like a good idea: close to ny, same time zone, hot, nice beaches, lots of latinos (like me), close to lots of latin american countries so i could visit, clubs, and theme parks. ive only been there once and it was only for a week when i was a teenager. on paper this seems like a really good plan. what are the pros and cons of this? any location in florida the doesnt get hit with hurricanes? wheres a good place to live? im thinking about around tampa or orlando.

im an ex-florida resident and ive recently started collecting expired passenger plates from many different places and counties in the country. i have not been able to find miami-dade county anywhere, on any website, ebay, nothing. i was just wondering if anyone has any information as to where i could possibly find/buy/trade/get one. that would be appreciated, thank you.

note: this does not mean a license plate simply saying "dade" for the county, this refers to "miami-dade"
