Many parts of Florida are painfully overcrowded and others are neglected, too few areas are still in pristine and protected condition. Areas surrounding the everglades are being over built and it is ruining the environment and killing off indigenous creatures. The Florida coasts are nothing more than tourist attractions and the nonstop building of homes and hotels is speeding erosion and causing both natural and financial devastation (think about dollars spent by tourists and taxes paid by home and business owners vs. FEMA and insurance funds each time we have a hurricane) to the state. The current population of Florida is about 18 million residents with 23% growth in the last 5 years. We are currently the 4th most populated state.

We are seasonal, so the retires go back from wherever they came from. Spring breakers also, alot of foreigners, cheaper here. Snow birds fly back to there roost. So, we can have more breathing room!
