We are looking to live about half an hour to 45 minutes away. Where should we look?

Depends what your budget is. If it's well over $225,000, you should do okay just about anywhere. It's probably more expensive in SE Florida but SW Florida has pretty much caught up with that, last time I priced around.
It's too **** expensive here now and I need to move away because I can't afford a house here.

Property n Florida is so expensive. I live in South Carolina and property prices here are really decent and we have fairly good weather all year round, which is why they are trying to turn our state into another Florida (the tourist thing and retirement)
