I'm looking for a cheap (not seedy) hotel / motel along Miami Beach (preferrably) for two nights, last week of August. Any suggestions?

I'm not from America so clearly there is some kind of inside knowledge here that I missed.

In an episode of Lost, Jack says to Sawyer; "Do you even know what Amoxicillin is for?".

Sawyer then replies, "I've been to Tallahassee, something was burning and let's just say it wasn't the sun." (or words to that effect).

Can someone explain the reference to Tallahassee, do people regularly catch STDs there or something?

I am connecting to a domestic flight, so I would want to be back in the airport about an hour before my flight. Do I have time to go downtown and get back to the airport? Is there anything worth seeing in this time frame from 430-830pm? I just don't want to be stuck at the airport for four hours. Any suggestions?
