I have lived in Miami from since 1997 like it especially because I moved form an island. The weather is good and you can always get a glance of the beach. The down side is the hurricanes and the season is for 5 months. The salary is a little less than up north but we only had federal tax as far as what is withheld from your check. Tax in Miami is at 7% but you can get the best deals in Miami. You must have a car to live here and rent has gotten a little pricey.

I moved here last year from the Midwest for a job. At first, I didn't know if I would like it, but now... I never want to leave. Even with the high prices and hurricanes (Wilma happened on my first week here) I would have a hard time moving out of Florida.
