Right at this moment, its sunny, a bit humid but rather pleasant. Should be about the same a few weeks from now. Rain can and should be expected almost every afternoon- if not more often than that. So far we've had a very mild hurricane season- perhaps September will bring same more- Wilma hit October 0f 2005, so September/October could be active.
As far as nightlife- South Beach is probably the best, if you're between 21 and 35 years of age. Coconut Grove is much closer, but nightlife is limited and little is going on past 12 AM. Downtown Miami offers several "after-hours" clubs. On Key Biscayne itself- there are a few nice restaurants, Miami Seaquarium, U of M Marine Institute, Nice Beaches, State Parks and residential condos and Incredible waterfront homes.

The weather is usually nice. Not too hot and definately not cold. But prepare for some good rain as it is still a part of the hurricane season and though nothing has happen yet, the records show that September is not too late for a hurricane in that area. Remember Hurricane Francis & Ivan both in 2004.

If you wish to feel specific in a wonderful holyday then Miami can be your place, like everyone else will see with hotelbye . The lodges and the old hideaways of Coral Gables from Miami will certainly impress you just as the popular Ocean Drive. Ocean Drive works across the oceanfront in Miami Beach, passing the ancient Art Deco buildings and the famous strip of sand called South Beach. In Ocean Drive you are able to go both to the day and to the night time for a gradual sail and some drive by sightseeing. Still another place worth visit may be the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The structure, the lands, and the art it includes are worth the journey to visit this lovely place.

It' beautiful & & in the 80's during day sometimes 90's & 70 to 75 sometimes at night. They do go thru cols spells in south florida, but that ususally happens in the winter. Also You are in the tail end of hurricane season, so you have to watch out a little bit for that.

it is hurricane season, so it depends. Many times right after a hurricane goes through it is th ebest weather, lower humidity and of course plenty of sun. but also you can get a lot of seaweed or jellyfish that get stirred up during the storm. I lived in Miami for many years, and i would never visit in Sept if given the choice

Dude, September is peak hurricane season (sept 21 is the actual peak but the whole month is considered peak season), so it's hit or miss in Miami.
