Seems like its cheaper to fly and stay in Ft. Lauderdale than Miami. I'll be going down there in July for 5 days... is it worth driving from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami? I want to visit both places plus drive up to key west... what are some suggestions? Good idea? Bad idea?

I am going to Florida in a few weeks, and will be visiting Miami for a two days at the most. Where are the places to go? Clubs (18+ please!)? Shops? Restaurants? Thanks!

Taxi is the obvious method, but it is probably quite expensive (maybe $100?).
Are there any shuttles?

My family is planning on going to Lauderdale, Florida in mid-July, but they don't want to go because they think it will be too hot. I want to convince them to go, but I don't know how to. They are thinking about just going in the Fall or Winter, but I really want to go in July though. Is it really humid in Florida? What the temperature there right now? What's the temperature in July? Is it bearable? Is it best to wait until Fall or Winter?

10-15 people. Not too expensive. Non-alcohol and non-smoking.
