I would fly because it is a loooooooong drive and airfare is fairly less expensive than driving. If you are planning to go to Florida you should check out Key West. You can fly into Miami, Ft Lauderdale or even Ft Myers and take a "puddle jumper" over on Cape Air or American Eagle or take the Ferry from Ft Myers to Key West. I know flights from St Louis on www.USA300.com are priced at $69 each way. If you decide to fly into Miami or Ft Lauderdale, you could always rent a car and drive down to Key West on the Florida Keys Overseas Highway and it is a spectacular drive with some of the most beautiful views you will ever see while driving!

Depends on your budget and the part of Florida you are going to. Sure, flying would be better, but if you are going to a city in northern Florida, you might as well save yourself a few bucks and drive. Then you wouldn't have to get a rental car.
If you're planning on going to southern Florida, like Ft. Lauderdale, definately fly.

It depends upon how much time and money you have. With the price of gas these days, length of time it would take you to get there, and the safety factor, you would be better off flying. Book your flight in advance by a couple of weeks and choose times and days least traveled and you will get a better price.

If you're by yourself, fly. But if you've got someone to go with you, you could take turns driving.. it'd be cheaper than flying.. unless you have to stay in a hotel overnight.

Depends, do you like to drive? Do you like scenery? Do you like to make frequent stops? Do you really want to put the miles on your car? If so, then go for it. Me personally, I would fly, and then rent a car. Cheaper in the long run.

I think that it will be much better to fly. If you drive it will be fustrating not to mention the heat will drive u crazy. in the airplane it is airconditioned and cool. If you re scared of heights then i suggest that you drive.

holy crap. fly. you'll spend as much, if not more, on gas on the drive as you would on a plane ticket. it took 17 hours from NC to MI in a car, so add another 9+ to that. if you fly, it'll be 5-6 hrs, including layovers.

You would be better off flying, then to rent a car or take a local bus or Greyhoundbus.
Reason: no traffic tickets.
nobody can carjack you.
no gas needed.
you get free peanuts on the plane.
