Okay, so I really want to move to a new city. I would love some suggestions of cool places to live. Right now Im considering Seattle, Portland and Austin, Texas. I'm in my 20s and am just looking for a change of pace from life in Virginia. Any fun cities that I should check out? I want to stay from Jan. 1st to at least the beginning of the summer (before grad school in the fall). Thanks! Im actually putting this on an Austin page so the answers might be biased :)

We're thinking about places to move to escape Chicago weather (too hot and humid during the summer and too cold for too long in the winter!).

Austin has come up as a very real possibility, but what are the different neighborhoods there? Are there any places to be concered about crime rate? Like, are there good/bad areas north/south/east/west of the heart of the city? Are there good/bad suburbs?

the boyfriend and i are going to Vegas for new years from Austin (maybe we can do from Houston too) and everywhere we've looked so far is $300 and up. We might drive if we can't find anything else.

My husbands job requires him to travel all over the U.S. we are from Arkansas, currentally in Michigan and are about to go to Austin TX in a few weeks and will be there for a few months. I'm a stay at home mom and get tired of sitting at home. We usually stay in hotel suites ( Staybridge Suite or Candlewood Suites) and I love to shop and would love to take my daughte somewhere that she can interact with other little children her age...any suggestions? Also my husband lived in Houston for 22 years and are willing to go there too.

Hi, my husband and I are coming out to Texas next week to visit friends but there doesn't seem to be a lot to do in Austin for sightseeing. If you live there can you tell us about hometown stuff that may not be on the web or advertised?
Thanks,
Joann from FL

I am moving to Austin in a few months. And, I am going there next week to find housing. What are the good AND bad areas so that I know where to look for a house or apartment.
Also, does anyone have any nice 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment suggestions for my daughter and I? If you have any suggestions can you direct me to their company website so I can look at pictures?
Thanks so much!

I need the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm planning on moving soon for college.
I went to Austin for about 9 days, and loved it. But I needed someone elses opinion, someone who lives there.
Or maybe some towns outside of Austin?
Can anyone help me out? Thanks :)

I'm moving to Austin and I'm trying to see what my utilities might look like. I don't have to pay any here thanks to my all included deal. But, that's so hard to find in Austin....
I'll be getting a two or three bedroom apartment or house if that helps determine what the price might be. Thanks!

Hi! I am currently planning on relocating to Texas and I was wondering which area was the best...Austin, Houston, Sugar Land, or Corpus Christi. I want to teach high school Spanish and I think Sugar Land pays the best but I'm not sure if that's the best place to go.
Right now I'm looking into Austin and possibly Corpus Christi.
I love the outdoors and nature and cities with culture which seems like Austin but affordability is key as well.
Houston seems like it's affordable but doesn't seem very pretty as far as outdoor recreation. Is Corpus Christi pretty? Are there things to do there?
Any information would help. Thanks!
