Round Rock is a nice peaceful town. I live in Round Rock . you might want to avoid the east of I-35 . The west area is where i stay and have never faced any problem.

There are some bad areas in Round Rock - mostly in the apartment complexes where there are too many teenagers with too much time on their hands. You should be okay though, if you remember to keep common safety in practice. Always lock your doors, don't leave valuables in your car, keep your blinds shut, etc.

Don't stress too much about whether you made the right decision or not, though. Just about any apartment complex has the same problem - very few are crime-free and chances are that those "high-class" apartment complexes are simply not affordable on a soldier's pay.

You guys will be fine. Welcome to Austin (early)!

around Rock... and that is on Interstate 35, no longer street 35. A street and an interstate are 2 very a number of issues in Texas. Sugar Land has all of the themes of Houston. around Rock, notwithstanding it quite is wedged between Austin and Georgetown is a lots smaller city. fee of residing may be much less in Sugar Land. you may verify the fee of domicile on line. Texas would not have a state income tax, yet they do have materials taxes on residences. Harris County has the utmost materials taxes interior the state. pass to the two and then choose.

im new to round rock also but i was told by a few of the people at the hotel i'm staying at that this is the safest city in Texas...the cops dont play..you dont see the bums on the street begging for money or anything...but i think that no matter where you go you will have alittle bit of crime....do you have children? go to www.familywatchdog.us it will show you registured sex offenders in that area.
