It's location makes it great for day trips, in 4 to 6 hours you can travel to San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, the coast and Mexico.
Know as music capital on the world, we have all types of live music and many affordable festivals. 3 club districts 4th, 5th and main one 6th street.
Lots of tech businesses. Two large lakes, many hike and bike trails if you like the outdoors and a few collages and Universities main one being U.T. great collage town.
I love it but 3 major draw backs for me, one is the humidity, bad for someone with allergies and no major sports teams.

I live here. Do I think it is the perfect place? No. But we are happy here and we I don't see any significant reasons to move.
- Hot in the summer, but the rest of the year is great.
- It is affordable, housing and other expenses tend to be cheaper than other cities.
- Good selection of restaurants, mostly chain places, but there are some really good local places as well
- Activities, there are frequent festivals, events, shows, etc, There is also a lot of opportunity for outdoor activities, like camping, climbing, hiking, biking, boating, etc.

A great city but very crowded. There are beautiful lakes, hills, and springs, a cool music scene that makes for a fun night out downtown, and a laid back culture. Nearly everything is casual and relaxed (except the traffic on the interstate) and the UT campus is cool to tour.

Hill Country.
Hot summers. Mild winters.
Football. UT.
1 hour from San Antonio. 3 hours from Houston. About 4 hours from Dallas.

big cockroaches, great place to experience all kinds of music, great people, yes crowded like someone else said, lots of fun! still miss it sometimes but not the heavy humid air.
