I am soo sick of these cubans refusing to learn english. It's so bad that you cant even get a minimum wage job in Miami unless you are biligual. To add insult to injury when you drive around some neighborhoods all of the store fronts are in spanish. It's as if you are in a foreign country. This is America. Speak english. What you do in your own hosehold is your own affair but in the workplace english should be mandatory. Its isnt fair for the Americans who were actually born here. I think if you move to this country and you want to enjoy the benefits of living here you need to learn the language and not expect everyone to learn your language.

Does anyone know if the General store ( the big grocery store ) in Yosemite village is open year round? I am planning a camping trip in late December of '07 and would like to know. We usually bring enough food and drinks, but one can never be sure and it would be nice to get additional supplies.
Thanks very much for all your hard work.

I'm an amateur photographer who lives in San Jose, CA and I was wondering if anyone knows of any attractive places that aren't too far from my area to go for a shoot.

Does anyone have any favorite parks, historic buildings, shopping plazas, beaches, etc.? I'm pretty much open to anything and would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

I am considering to move to California. I dont necessarily have to be in LA but at the same time would like to be in an area which is alive.

Can you please suggest the towns which are affordable for a person earing 30k and is not extravagant. Suggest places on the CA outskirts which are not to far and I could take under consideration.

Thanks.

My boyfriend and I were planning to go on a short (3 days/2 nights) trip next week to Cannon Beach, Oregon. Because of all the flooding, though, we've changed our plans because half of the roads will probably still be flooded or damaged, and I heard that the Oregon coast got hit with wind pretty bad.

So I'm needing other ideas? We really just want a quiet getaway to take a break from work and college. We've thought about Leavenworth and the San Juans. But I'm not sure if those are much better because of the ferry ordeal and the avalanche work in the mountains.

Are the routes to Leavenworth/San Juans okay? Or does anyone have any ohter suggestions?

Just to add, we can't wait for things to clear up because enxt week is the only time during break we both have 3 days off work. Thanks!

Hi i will move to SF by march 2008 (date not 100% sure ) and because it will be by myself i can not rent an apartment so i'm gonna start renting a room somewhere and of course with good and respectful people... I would like to know if $2000 could be enought to give this big step??
About work i can not worry about it..cuz i just gonna ask for a transfer where i'm right now.
Is it difficult to someone that never has lived by her own to rent a room??
Pleaseeee give me all advices you can..negatives and positives everything please!!
