NYC's bad rep comes from the 70s and 80s; you really have to go out of your way to find a bad area now.
From what LA people have told me, LA is a lot less predictable, and has a lot more serious/vicious crime as well.

LA is very dangerous whereas NYC is at an all time low.

A lot. NY isn't really that dangerous anymore, relatively speaking. Its one of the safer large cities.

im not sure.Ive been to L.A. But not NYC.but im guessing NYC is more dangerous.but idk.
