I would love to be able to go see stalagmites and other natural rock formations in FL. However everything I find online is about diving in them.

Is there a difference between a cavern and a cave? I am thinking of things like Carlsbad Caverns and Lost Sea, TN.

I know there is a state park in NW FL that has this - but it is quite a bit of a drive. Are there others?

Please, help with little advice, me and my BF are planning to visit Santa Barbara, CA tomorrow (Sunday, Oct, 21). We are planning to spend there all day.
