The best rates are usually by the hotels own site, because there are no additional fees. Some sites offer low room rates but charge an arm and leg in fees. Orbitz and Expedia aren't that great other than for planning. The hotels are very similar, I've stayed at many of them from the low range to high range. If lowest price interests you, look at resorts at the far ends of the strip or off the strip like Hooter, Excalibur or Circus. If location is important, Harrahs, or Planet Hollywood are reasonable choices.

Try www.sidestep.com .. they check all the other travel sites for the best prices. They will take you to that site to book it. From the first answer .. the San Remo is now Hooters. Good location but way over priced. Weekends are really priced high because all the Californians drive in on Friday and leave Sunday. Be prepared to pay quite a bit more for a weekend stay.

When we went to Vegas we stayed at San Remo the first time. It was nice but not fancy. reasonably priced because its a block off the strip. The second time we stayed at the Boardwalk, but I believe they are rebuilding that hotel right now. You can go to yahoo travel and check out the hotels there. It depends on what you are planning on doing there if you stay at a casino hotel or not. If you are planning on gambling, its nice. Also if you are going to be doing alot of site seeing, its nice to be on the strip within walking distance of everything.

The Greek Isle is halfway between the strip and the Hilton (the one with the Star Trek Experience). It's reasonably priced, and also has World's Greatest Magic.
