I may be relocating to the Los Angeles area soon from the midwest and would like some recommendations for safe, affordable neighborhoods. I will be working in the North Hollyood area, adn my wife and I would prefer a commute 1 hour or less, and a single-family home (not a condo or apartment). Any recommendations are appreciated.

Im taking a trip with my dad to LA on the 27- the 31st. What are some things I could do there... im really interested in the whole celeb thing. I like Las Vegas, I've been there just once, although I didn't enter the casino. My aunt is going to Vegas this week and I asked her to take some chips for me. Could anyone recommend me the nicest chips available? I prefer $0.50/$1 chips, but if the $5/$10 chips are much nicer, then I'll ask her to take these.

I don't want a tour or anything--- driving there from vegas- and want to walk out there ... also, what other costs are associated with it? is it in a park area? have to pay to get into there? etc.....
