Hi! I have lived here for what seems like forever. The Excalibur is about a half a city block from the sign, which in terms is a half a mile. If you want to take a cab, take it to the Little Chapel of the West, it is right there next to the sign. Then you can have the cab wait or if you tip him well you can probably get him to take the photo of you and whomever you are with. You may even want to let him (the cabbie) go then you can easily walk to the Luxor, and take the tram to the Excalibur. I wouldn't take the bus, they don't stop there. You could walk but it is hot now and you will be pretty parched from the walk, plus the photo may not look that great after all of the sweating! Go at night pay the extra money for the cab, it is a photo you will remember for a long time :)

The sign is at present placed interior the middle island of Las Vegas street for the duration of from the (now closed) Klondike lodge & on line casino and owned with the aid of youthful electric sign agency which leases it to Clark County. some evaluate the sign to be the “sturdy” southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. The sign, like most of the strip, sits interior the city of Paradise and is placed extra or less 4 miles south of the truly city limits of Las Vegas.

It's not very far, maybe a mile plus or minus. Just hop in a taxi and have them drive to it, stop take your picture and hop back in to go wherever you want. It wont' cost but a couple of dollars extra to the cab fare. Well worth the money instead of walking.

Actaully its only about a 15 minute walk, so just walk, but the sign is in the middle of a major street, so taking a pic could pose a problem, if its even legal.

Taxi's are expensive. Take the Duece double decker bus. $2 per person one way or $5 ride all day and you can hop around from the strip to Freemont St.
