We want to get away from our city and just get out and see our country. We live in Kansas City so anywhere in the US is an option.

Where should we go, what should we do...?

Any tips?

I am looking for various activities that can be done in Atlanta togther with my significant other. I know of all the main things, like theatres, gardens and such. I was thinking something fun and exciting and engaging such as doing pottery together, dancing, just some things and places that would allow us to be engaged in what we are doing and be fun and pleasurable at the same time. Or just some plain romantic ideas that can be done outside the home & bedroom. =-P . Any help would be appreciated, Thanx.

Attention New Yorkers.

A friend and I from Texas are looking at two sublets in our price range: one in Clinton Hill in Brooklyn and the other apartment is in Astoria, Queens. (Apartment sizes are about the same). Commuting to work won't be an issue (I think the subway commute times are the same to Midtown), but as two mid-twenties singles, we're looking to be around a fun, vibrant crowd with access to good restaurants and bars.

Which would you recommend?

I live in the DC area, about 20 miles south actually in Prince William County, VA. I have a friend that lives in Patuxent River, MD. Does anyone know of the fastest way to get there other than I-95? Or is that the only way? It's just that i really don't want to sit in traffic forever and i was wondering of there was like a bridge or something i could cross...thanks!

I am arriving very early in the morning at the airport in New York City, and my bus does not leave until later that evening.

I want to spend the day looking around New York, but I don't want to have to carry my two suitcases with me the whole time.
Is there ANYWHERE in New York (Manhattan) that I can store my bags during the day? A "coat check" type place that would take suitcases? I don't think they do this at the train station or bus station anymore because of "security concerns"

I am considering moving to a larger place and wondered how the people, nightlife, cultural aspects, etc would compare. I like Tallahassee but am looking for something a little more on the move for a 30-something single professional.

My family and I are moving to the L.A area (Burbank,CA). We've lived in the San Bernardino county, San Diego, and presently San Francisco. I would really appreciate any constructive info about the area. I have one kid in high school, just to add. What I'm really looking for are some basic pros and cons to a place like the L.A area (I've never been there but driven through once before.) Thank you.

Between Harrisburg and Route 100/Philadelphia area, off the south side of I-76, there is a group of small, white buildings, often with religious sayings posted. The place looks like something from Shyamalan's The Village. Does anybody know what this area is or if people live there?

I'm traveling to Phoenix January 19-25 with my wife. We're thinking of relocating and want to see if we would like living in the Phoenix area. Others have said that Scottsdale is the place to stay to get a feel for living in Phoenix. The only problem is that every hotel in and around Scottsdale is either booked or outrageously priced. Anyone have any advice on other places to stay? And does anyone know what is going on in Scottsdale that caused all of the hotels to fill??? Thanks for your help...

Hi all!

My husband and I, and our married friends all want to go out this Friday night to a good nightclub. We're close to Tacoma, and not too far from Seattle and wanted to go to a place that had a good mix of people, hip hop/R&B music. Any suggestions? We're all not from Washington state (I'm from Maryland, my husband from Texas, our one friend from Canada and our other from Florida) so we don't know too much about the area. Thanks! Also, if you could possibly provide a website along with your suggestion it would be great :)

I am thinking of relocating to Washington D.C. and was wondering about the neighborhoods there.
I like city life and I know that no area is crime free but I would like to live in a somewhat safe area, close to a metro station, and that has a lot to do (shopping, museums, resturants, theatres etc.)
I am mostly concerned about safety because I can get anywhere on the metro.
I would also consider northern VA and price is not too much of an issue, I can rent or buy.
