I live in the DC area, about 20 miles south actually in Prince William County, VA. I have a friend that lives in Patuxent River, MD. Does anyone know of the fastest way to get there other than I-95? Or is that the only way? It's just that i really don't want to sit in traffic forever and i was wondering of there was like a bridge or something i could cross...thanks!

Other than 95, you could take the Nice Bridge (US-301 N) into maryland (from dahlgren va). about 5miles into MD turn right onto MD-234. Take this all the way to MD-5 and turn right (south). 3miles and turn left onto MD-4. Take MD-4 6 miles and turn right onto MD-235 South. Follow 235 a few miles and you should see signs for the naval base (pax river).

**all miles are approximates**

There is no town called Patuxent River, Md. The Patuxent is a long river that serves as the border between Prince George's and Calvert/Anne Arundel Counties. In any case you could try going across the river on US 301 and taking that north.
