Apartment rental prices? Nightlife? Things to do? This will help me decide if I should choose a job offer in Houston. Thanks!

I'm looking to spend under $40 a night, but I'm willing to stay anywhere that has a shower and a lock on the door... are there cheap little motels to be found in parts of Oregon in this price range? Any recommendations? (I'm traveling the whole state, so any city or town will do)

I like museums, breweries, and good food. I am only going to be there for a few days for work, so my time is very limited. Are there any special events in late November?

I wil be attending a school in Northern Kentucky come January and since I don't have a car I'm fixing to take the bus...It'd be closer for me to go to Cincinnati, OH than to Lexington for a bus terminal...

So this would be a trip from Cincinnati to Ashtabula (northeastern Ohio) which is about 5,6,7 hours depending on other stops...I don't have much experience on long travel buses - so how are Mega-bus and Greyhound Buses' safety, and just the experience in general and all that?

I don't need it to be great but just safe and cheap enough to get me to where I need to go....I'll be taking this lil jaunt about every 6 weeks so hopefully it won't be too awful...

Because just talk about it so much and say how awesome it is and i have never been there and i am going up there soon so i wanted to hear from people that live that and people who've been there just a few times, is it really worth all the money to go up there because its really expensive, and is it overrated? I just don't want to get my expectations too high.

In June 2007 my eighth grade class of a little more than 500 have and end-of-the-year trip to Hershey. Becuase its so crowded, in previous years a kid would be lucky to get 4 rides in, I've been told. So, what rides are must-sees for a moderate thrill seeker who can only hit a few of them? Also, if anyone has stayed at the Holiday Inn Holidome in York, PA please leave a review of that. A good review of the park's best points is likely to get best answer, a good review and the hotel has an even better chance=D

Thanks for you help.

It needs to be related to World, Countries of the World, Different cultures and traditions... Something around that...
The trip would be for preschoolers... I love the Maritime Musuem, but do not think that it is appropriate for that young kids, and have heard in review that it is boring place....

When I watched TV the other night, the government Officials encouraged tourists to visit New Orleans. They said it helped building up the economy. So, me and my friend are thinking a vacation to New Orleans during Christmas.

How many days should we spend in New Orleans? We want to see the French Quarter. But, if we go during Christmas, can we see anything? Besides the French Quarter, what else can we do? Remember we only have 3 days. We don't want to spend too much time on traffic.

Any good eating places in New Orleans?

Please advise. Thanks!

I will be "vacationing" in Washington, D.C on the 13 through the 17 and I have never been there before! My agenda includes dinner theatres, a zoo, Hard Rock Cafe, the Capitol building and the White House, and, of course, the mall - and by that I mean the mile long line up of historical museums, not shopping stores...anybody ever been to any of these places that could help me out? All I'm looking for is some bits of information. Thanx in advance!
