United States - November 2006

I'm looking for a clean, quiet hotel or bed & breakfast in New York City for a few nights at the end of December.

Would like to pay around $100 a night, less if possible.

Doesn't matter which neighborhood, as long as it's on the subway line.

Any suggestions?

I live by the beach and will be making a trip to Vegas. I plan to dress in Jeans/T-Shrits just as I do everyday where I live. I realize this attire is not acceptable for upscale restaurants/clubs, but what other establishments will I encounter a problem with this type of dress? Thanks

I have always wished to go there but everything I try to do in getting there backfires. I first wanted to live there but realized that it was going to cost me $2,000 just to move there and then be broke. I work in LA/West Hollywood and live in Van Nuys. I need to find the best way to avoid traffic (obviously this won't be 100%), but something better than the 405. I tried taking Laurel Canyon, but it seems most people know about that alternative route and it almost takes the same amount of time for me as the 405 would. Any suggestions/tips?
