Is it better to stay in the downtown area or the burbs (taking the metro to DC). Only there for a few days. Would like a safe place but don't want to pay a lot.

Well since I started a new job, I don't have any vacation time. I'm thinking of going on a long weekend getaway on labor day weekend. I live in the middle of Ohio, but would like to leave after work friday, drive no more than 4-5 hours and have a nice get away with my wife. Anybody know of good places to go.

We are going in October and staying at the Bellagio. Would like to hear comments about it if anybody has stayed there before. Are minimum bids at the casino similar to others, or is it more expensive?

I"m going to college to be a graphics designer, just wondering if, even though the cost of living is high, having a decent job would pay the bills.

We're going there in September and staying at the Disneyland hotel. Can you recommend good places for breakfast ( not necessarily buffet) not far away?. We've got two kids aged six and ten too. I think the buffet at the hotel would be too much! I see the park doesn't open till 10:00am so that's too late. Maybe somewhere that has cereal; muffins; pancakes ( hotcakes to you:-); sausages ).Thanks.

I've tried looking on the internet for Flextickets and Disneyworld tickets but they work out about £300 for the two.I have been there before; pre baby, so didn't mind spending out a bit for these types of things. Now I have to watch the pennies a bit,it's not that I'm a skinflint but as I have a young family and I could use the money to go to other attractions too.

Any ideas greatfully received!!

Hi Everyone! Hope you can help me out.

I'll be going to Wailea, Maui, in a few weeks for a friend's wedding. (I've never visited that island before.) I'm thinking of taking a shuttle bus from my hotel to the airport when I leave. They say it'll take about 30-35 mins. I was just wondering how bad the traffic gets on the weekends. (I'm leaving on a Sunday.) Not sure what time they should pick me up. I'd hate to miss my flight.

After the wedding, I'm going to Honolulu to meet up with some family. (They're relatives coming in from Asia. It'll be their first time in Hawaii. I've been to Oahu a few times in the past.) It's been about 11 years since I've last visited Waikiki, so I'm not sure what's in that area. Can you please recommend a few good restaurants that you think we should try? (Just to let you know, the age range of our group will be between 28-60.)

Thanks for all your help!
~~Mahalo!~~
