I've tried looking on the internet for Flextickets and Disneyworld tickets but they work out about £300 for the two.I have been there before; pre baby, so didn't mind spending out a bit for these types of things. Now I have to watch the pennies a bit,it's not that I'm a skinflint but as I have a young family and I could use the money to go to other attractions too.

Any ideas greatfully received!!

It is pretty much impossible to find Orlando attractions at "dirt cheap" rates. With Disney, if you buy the longer pass, the average price per day is around $20, that is where they offer you the savings. As for other attractions, they generally offer discounts throughout the year, you just have to look around to see what they offer.

I always buy directly with my travel agent, or the supplier. There is just too much risk purchasing elsewhere. For example, a lot of people on eBay sell faulty tickets. For example, Disney tickets expire 14 days after they are first used, unless no expiration is purchased. And, the tickets are non-transferable, a biometric machine is used to confirm you are not using someone else's ticket. If you arrive and try to use someone else's ticket, it can be confiscated. So, you may be able to find the tickets lower, but then you arrive and find out that the tickets are no good and either can't go to the park or have to pay again.

The only way you are going to get legitimate tickets for a really low price is to do a timeshare tour. Basically, you listen to a presentation which usually takes a few hours, they try and get you to purchase and will eventually give you some tickets to local attractions for free. You can look up information online before you leave, or you can find kiosks all over Orlando that will set you up with a tour. They aren't fun to do and will take a way the good part of your day, but it is the least expensive way to get some tickets. If you can avoid it, I would.

Otherwise, I would just purchase the tickets with your travel agent or directly with the supplier (rates are going to be the same, but if you used an agent it is nice to use them for the tickets as well) You will get some savings, you know they are legitimate and you don't spend a day of your vacation at a timeshare tour.

Actually, Tech Fanatic below has a very good answer. Please do yourself a favor and either get your tickets from a reputable travel agent specializing in Disney or directly from Disney.

I am a travel agent myself, and I have heard some real horror stories. Many sellers who offer heavily discounted Disney tickets are selling counterfeit or stolen tickets. Be very careful.

There is one ticket discounter I have used that is actually reputable and will deliver your tickets to your Disney or Disney-area hotel. Take a look at www.orlandosavers.com. Be aware that if you buy your tickets ahead of time through your travel agent or through Disney (online only) that you can probably get the same price, which is discounted compared to the gate prices. Personally, I would go directly with Disney. Unfortunately, there are no real deep discounts on Disney tickets. The most expensive part of your Disney trip will be your park admissions and food. (A lot of folks do not believe me when I tell them this). Actually, the Disney Dining Plan is a good deal (if you plan to stay inside Disney World and eat there), and most of my clients are very happy with it.

The Orlando Flex Tickets are a good deal. Universal itself has some very good deals on their tickets when you look at the fact that their 2-day pass can actually get you in for 4 or more consecutive days. (For Americans, I generally tell them to check with AAA).

I believe there are actually still some employers who have arrangements for discounts at Disney and Universal for their employees. Check and see if your employer is one of them.

Also, please take a look at www.orlandomagiccard.com. This is the Orlando Convention and Visitor's Bureau site, and there are many discounts for Orlando-area attractions and even hotels here. No discounts on Disney tickets, though.

Hope this helps!

AAA delivers the perfect discounted park tickets. A club is needed. you could also go on your community Disney keep to receive a small lower priced on park tickets. Have an truly good holiday!

Don't do ebay. Our friend spent $500 for tickets, sent a money order and got nothing. www.ticketmania.com or www.mapleleaftickets.com
