I am on my to Naples Italy. However my flight arrives in London Heathrow and my other flights departs out of London Gatwick. I would like to use the public tranportation since I have a day there to see some of the major sights( in particular " Big Ben " ) . Is this possible to do?

Can someone give me a run down on pricing between the 2 airports using the Metro system. Could I purchase an all day pass? I have read about the "Oyster Card" but since I am only going to be there 1 day I don't think this is economical.

What stations do I have to transfer at?

Your advice is very appreciated =) !!! Thanks !!! =)

How can you get to Upton park Stadium from Stansted Airport, and how much does it cost? I know there is a train that runs from there, but I've got no idea how much it is or what stations it will go to. If anyone could do some kind of route plan from Stansted Airport that would be great! Thanks.

Tomorrow I get in to Waterloo Station at noon and I have twenty to thirty minutes to walk to Covent Garden Underground; is this possible, and is it easy to find? I would take the tube but I have a phobia of being underground (don't laugh!).

Thanks.

My son is traveling to London, and I want to give him some ideas on what to do there. He will be staying in a Hostel somewhere in the area of Hyde Park. Also, what/where are the best Hostel's in London? Something that is not too expensive, also. He will be traveling in the first few days of January.

I appreciate the help!

I have already looked up national express where buses only go from 6 o'clock in the morning... and i don't particularly fancy getting the train. I need to get there for 3 in the afternoon.

I am looking to store my two large suitcases for 9 days in London right before Christmas. Somewhere closer to Heathrow would be the best alternative -- and it has to be accessible by the tube. I know Heathrow stores luggage for about 4 quid a day per bag, but I need something less expensive...anyone have any ideas?
