How can you get to Upton park Stadium from Stansted Airport, and how much does it cost? I know there is a train that runs from there, but I've got no idea how much it is or what stations it will go to. If anyone could do some kind of route plan from Stansted Airport that would be great! Thanks.

Take the National Express Coach to Stratford. Take the No 104 bus from stop D.
This will be much quicker and cheaper than going via Liverpool Street.

Get the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and take a Hammersmith and City line tube towards Barking (Barking trains are more frequent on matchdays despite what you may read elsewhere). Upton Park tube station is a few minutes walk from the ground. A one day travel card will be the cheapest option between Stansted and Liverpool Street but you may still have to purchase a separate tube ticket as the travel card usually only covers zones 1,2,5,6 (ask if you can upgrade to zone 3). Upton Park is in Zone 3. It's about £15 for a travel card and about £5 for the tube (return).

I regret that if you follow the directions in some of these answers, you will be waiting for a connectong train until doomesday.

From Stansted Airport take the Stansted Express to London Liverpool Street station. There follow the signs to the Metropolitan and Circle Lines - you want the eastbound platform.

However, do NOT take either a Circle Line or a Metropolitan Line train - wait for a Hammersmith and City Line train - take note of its destination.

If the Hammersmith & City Line train is going to Barking, then you are in luck, because this will take you to Upton Park.

But, if it shows Whitechapel (as most will do), then change at the next station (Aldgate East). Stay on that platform and take the first District Line train to Upton Park (That said, if a train comes showing Plaistow - not common, though - let it go).

(Do not stay on the Hammersmith & City Line train to Whitechapel, because it will use a different platform to the District Line train and you could miss the latter in the process!)

If your route isn't shown, type in your starting point, and then your destination.

It is approx 31 miles.
