I am going to see Cinderella at the Old Vic Theatre before I fly out of London... Can anyone tell me how to get to the theatre from Heathrow, by the most cheap and easy means?

For the cheapest and easiest, although not quickest route, use the Tube. Piccadilly line (dark blue-the one that goes to Heathrow) on the Underground to Leicester Square change to Northern Line (black) southbound and get off at Waterloo. Or Piccadilly Circus and Bakerloo (brown) also southbound and Waterloo again. Once at Waterloo, follow signs to the mainline (British Rail) station and then once you get there, look for signs for the Old Vic on the station or ask someone-it's a short walk from there.
Check the transport for london website (www.tfl.gov.uk) that the earlier answer mentioned for station closures for the time you are there. Also consider buying an Oyster card (which can be delivered overseas) so that you don't have to fuss with buying a ticket at the airport. These are available on the same website.

Have a good trip!

Take the Underground to Waterloo (Change at Leicester Square from the Piccadilly Line to the Northern Line going Southbound). The Old Vic is in a street called The Cut. 3 minutes walk from Waterloo Station.

The Old Vic is very close to Waterloo Station so you will have a lot of choice as to how to get there. Use postcode SE1 8NB and the Transport Direct website which should work it out door to door by most permutations of public transport, complete with fares.
