I live in America (US) and i've never been to another country, or continent before!! My marching band has accepted the invitation to the Lord Mayor's Parade in London. What do i need to know before visting?

Were not going until December 2008.

For what to see...
1. The London eye
2. The wax works museum
3. Oxford street (for shopping)
4. Covent gardens great for entertainment and shopping
5. Lester square
6. Piccadilly circus
7. Science museum(sounds boring but you can playgames
and everything.
8. Natural museum
9. Look at big Ben
10. Westminster Abby
11. Speakers corner in Hyde Park on a sunday morning
12. Tower of London
13. London Bridge
14. iMax(you can see 3d movies)
15. London dungeons(WARNING ITS SCARY)
16. Victoria and Albert museum
17. Trafalgar square
18. Wimbledon
19. If you have very good english i would definitely go and see a show. i would recommend wicked. i got tickets fairly cheap at the official ticket both in leiscter square. it is near the swiss clock (i think that is what it is called) on the corner. i always get very very good tickets there at good prices too.
20. Kensington Palace
21. Greenwich

Its cold here in December, its raining at the moment too, but other than that its a great time to be in London, visit all the touristy places but be prepared to pay through the nose for everything as London is the most expensive city in the world....have a great time and welcome to London!!

Make sure you look carefully before crossing the street, they drive on the other side of the road. I lost a good friend because she looked the wrong way and stepped out in traffic.
