The number eleven is supposed to be a good route to see a lot of the sights, but for my vote it's a number 6 or 15 ! ! !

Route 11 from Liverpool Street to Fulham or route 15 Aldgate to Marble Arch section. (Both the section of route 9 from the Albert Hall to Aldwych and the section of route 15 from Charing Cross Station to the Tower of London have some traditional open platform Routemaster buses with conductors, operating daily from 9am to about 6pm; these buses are full of character and atmosphere; a little bit of traditional London)

The 24 bus is good - starts at Victoria and goes past the Houses of Parliament, up Whitehall, past Horse Guards Parade, past Trafalgar Square, up along Charing Cross Road, Tottenham Court Road, past Koko and through Camden up to Hampstead Heath!
It's quite a cross section of London; History, Culture, Politics, Theatres, Punks and one of London's best green spaces!

No. 14 maybe, from Piccadilly Circus through Knightsbridge down Chelsea, and into Putney. Nice people.
No. 11 follows the same route as the 14 except it goes through Fulham instead of Chelsea, don't know where 6, or 15 goes.
