I plan on moving to London from San diego.. I'm pretty experienced when it comes to travel but relocating to a foreign country, despite any similarities in dialogue, is a rather new experience.. ANY information and tips regarding everything from how much money I need to bring with me, where to find employment, where to live and even how to start off in general are very much appreciated :)

Thanks!

I've never been there, but, tell me what it's like. It's like one of my number one dreams to go there. Is it hard to learn a different language?

I'm waiting for a parcel sent via royal mail recorded delivery. Normally it is supposed to arrive next Monday or Tuesday. But since it will be 1 Jan, does anyone know whether Royal Mail will still work on that day?

Me and my buddy are staying in London and were wondering what are some good pubs or places to go. We are both 21. Just some good places to drink and meet some girls.

80 pounds ONLY for food i.e. if one cooks his/her own food at home and donot buy outside food at all (this is NOT INCLUDING rent, transport etc.)

Is 80 pounds/ month enough to buy cooking ingredients for a month for an average adult (this includes raw vegetables, fruits, milk, bread). This is also excluding any alcohol.

If not, what would be a conservative estimate one should keep for food/month in London provided you do all the cooking and dont eat out at all?

This is considering all ingredients are bought and all food is cooked
