Let me get this: You like him, he likes you, but he also likes your friend, and he talks bad about you to your friend? If that's more or less what your asking, then what you should do is kick his a*ss to China. No really, try not to like him anymore. It's not that great to like someone who bad talks you, and REALLY not great to like someone who could hurt the friendship between you and your friend by liking both of you. Did you get that? I hope that helps!

Dump him like yesterday's trash. A person who truly likes you will not talk bad about you behind your back.

if he talks bad about you to someone else, he does not like you. sorry, but sounds like maybe he just thinks he can get some. don't give in. move on and find someone worth your time.

if your saying you like him and he likes you, but shows interest in your friend whilst bad mouthing you, it sounds like he does like you, but is insecure big time!! sometimes man/woman behave like this as its a reaction in dealing with their nerves. if he continues doing this in front of your friend especially, or even alone i would pull him to one side alone and camly explain to him how his insults are making you feel, and anymore then you wont hang around in his company again. see what reaction you get!! go girl... tell him!!

Try to like someone else. The person you like right now sounds like a jerk.
