Cardiff Castle is right in the centre then you have Castell Coch which is a fairytale castle set in a mountain. Truely beautiful. You can also visit St Fagans outdoor muesum of Welsh History. You can go down the bay for something to eat. 40 miles away from Cardiff you could visit the Gower penisula which has fantastic beaches. There is loads to see and do. Why not check out the Welsh tourist board web site for more information.

Cardiff is special in its own way, as is most of wales the scenery seems to be stunning but then just over the water here in somerset we have some great scenery we also have Bristol just up the road, and then there is (not for this time of year i'd suggest) there is a small theme park or was at hugbridge or burnham i forget which and i think it's a pontins or butlins related although i may be wrong i've not been that way since i was about 15 about 18 years ago now.
back to wales. i'm sure there are some great places. just use a search engine like google to see what you can find out.

Cardiff may be the capital of Wales, but to tell the truth, Cardiff is not a very nice place (in my opinion) I wouldn't spend very long there! But you should go to Cardiff Castle which is FANTASTIC! It is a Victorian folly built by the richest man in Britain. But don't let me put you off the rest of Wales - which is lovely.

The castle is always worth a visit. There are some lovely buildings in the civic centre, including the excellent museum. Cardiff Bay is another must... but it obviously depends on what sort of things you like.

All of Wales is special. By the way, Cardiff is in Wales, not the other way round.
