The same answer to a previous question: Less than £3 per day seems to be stretching it. Budget for £5 a day (£150 a month) to be on the safe side. Tap water is perfectly safe to drink so bottled water £1 a small bottle is out. Fruit and veg at the many markets can be purchased in small quantities. Bread - likewise. Buy large milk in a supermarket. Eating out and coffee outside can be very expensive.

London is quite expensive so I would budget for around £100 a month solely for food...obviously depends on what your tastes are though!

I used to spend £100 but now I think £120 could do you well for breakfast lunch and dinner for 30 days. Shop at Tesco or Asda (they 're the most reasonably-priced supermarkets).
