My fiance and I have saved a little over $1000 for our honeymoon, which we want to have in December. Where are some nice places, out of the states, to go? We can probably go up to $1500.

I have already checked out renting a cargo van but these are not available from enterprise, u-haul, etc. for one way moves. Are minivans capable of holding full sized mattresses plus a few extra suitcases and boxes? Any other creative ideas? Please help!

In the U.S., is it considered bad etiquette to place your carry-on bag somewhere other than the compartment that's directly above your seat on an airplane? Please let me know. I kinda feel guilty when I do it but I'm not from the US.

After filling out a mall raffle, I got a call from a company called Smart Travel saying that I had won a 3 day 2 night vacation to Orlando or Vegas for me and a guest, including airfare and hotel. The only thing I had to do was come in and listen to a 1 hour seminar about their company. They said right when the seminar was over, they would give me the 2 free vouchers for American Airlines and the hotel. I am going in tomorrow to listen to their 1 hour shpiel. Does this sound too good to be true?

First off, I'm not a millionaire. I make almost three hundred every two weeks hostessing &I want to go on a trip to Vegas to surprise my best friend. I don't even know where to start. I still don't know if I'm going alone or not, so I'm not sure what to add up yet. I've been looking up flight/hotel/car packages on Expedia.com estimating how many people are going. I don't even know what I'm asking right now, I just need help planning this trip &finding the CHEAPEST pricest. I want to go in June, &that's about a month away. Help?!

What kinds of things should I expect? How early should I wait for a choice seat? What can a 20 year old girl do to make sure she isnt bothered by creepy people? Do they check your baggage at all? What size would be most appropriate for a carry-on bag? Does anyone have any good or bad stories of what this was like for them? It's only 4 1/2 hours, but I'm worried since I've never taken this before.

without a visa? is there ANY WAY ON EARTH than i can get to moscow without traveling thousands of miles to the russian embassy in dc or its consulates. i just don't like visas. i like passports - not filling out forms and paying fifty dollars for visas when i just paid a hundred dollars for the passport. i can go to tokyo with just a passport - not the dumb visa. but the russians have to make it so hard for people. i don't understand what a "visa" is anyway - the japanese have a REASON to not have visas, why can't russia learn from the japanese - no visa! so if i show the lady at jfk intl airport my passport, ticket, but no visa, will i be able to get to moscow. or do i have to show the visa once i land in moscow (which means i would have to go BACK to new york). are there "pre-clear" russian agents at jfk. no matter what - im going to moscow - visa or not. if i can go to tokyo, i can go to moscow. passports should be enough, visas should be just people who want to work in moscow!!!!

My wife and I applied for passports on March 3rd, and we leave on May 20th. Thats 12 weeks. The post office rep saidf there was no need to expedite, "that's plenty of time". The status online is 'processing' and has been since the first week in April. Today is May 12th, and nothing. We have been trying to call for an appointment, but there are none available from now until our departure date. is there anything else i can do? the phone number they give is garbage, and the website is close to useless.

I booked an itinerary for my parents using my credit card on lufthansa website. its my first time doing so. i realised a caption saying that the credit card holder must be one of the travelling pax. but i went ahead to book the tkts anyway (after calling Lufthansa's reservatns office and their representative advised me that i am able to do so). However, im still worried that my parents will be denied boarding since im not one of the travellers. Also, is the receipt considered the E-tkt? Does it mean that they will just need to show the receipt at the check-in counter and they will be issued the boarding pass?

My husband and I are taking a much needed break this weekend to celebrate that he is almost in complete remission. People have told me to just ak for a free upgrade but, I am not the type to just ask for something like that (I won't even sneak into another movie at the theatre because I'm afraid to get caught). I've never been in a hotel before and I've tried booking online and by the phone but I only own a solo card which they do not except and I do not know anyone who has a credit card. Can I check into hotel by paying by cash asoon as I arive, with no prior contact that I would be ariving?
