To not secure the U.S. borders - and to not do a complete background check on people walking across the U.S. borders - AND to not check for TB / numerous other dieseases - is possible the U.S. politicans or their families have been bought off and /or threatened by Mexican drug cartels.

Every country in the world (to the best of my knowledge) heavily protects their borders - however when the U.S. wishes to implement some simple safety procedures they are deemed as racist. I pity America in the coming few yrs if they continue electing pussified men.

Currently planning a move to Morelia, Mexico. My girlfriend just took a teaching job at Universidad Internacional Jefferson (Jefferson International University). And we've been trying to check out apartments on-line and get an idea of what to expect when we move. Does anyone know of any good region specific sites to look up houses/apartments for rent? They can be in either spanish of english, doesn't matter.

I haven't been to Mexico, but I heard it is a beautiful nation where everyone is in a good mood. This is in contrast to Canada which I view as a dark nation that I was unlucky enough to be born in. People who get the chance to live in Mexico are so darn lucky.

Would it be safe to take an eight week old baby to Cancun, Mexico for a week? My family rents a condo each year for a week, and my husband and I would really like to go, but we are wondering if it would be too soon to travel with a small baby. We aren't planning to go until next March. Any help is appreciated. What about shots and immunizations? Any one know?

The Canadian and American Governments should issue travel warnings to Mexico not just adviseries. It is obvious that the police are corrupt and probably help commit the crimes. They try to cover them up. How can a person show so much blunt force trauma to different parts of his body and be on life support falling from a second floor balcony? We need to stop giving our tourist dollars to Mexico until they correct this corruption and attack on tourists.

I am driving to Rocky Point, Mexico on May 8th. I've been told by a couple people that I need just a birth certificate if I'm driving instead of flying, but others say I need the passport no matter what. Which one do I need?

I am traveling to Mexico in a few weeks by cruise ship. I have applied for an American passport about 10 weeks ago; my birth certificate was required to be sent along with my application. I am getting concerned as I may have neither passport nor birth certificate on the day the ship is scheduled to sail. What ather documents will be accepted to enter Mexico and back to U.S. by cruise ship. Thanks
