Why can't Mexico just be part of the US?

The only way Mexicans may be responsible for future attacks if if they remain a poor, repressed country, and start taking money for favors. Let them be a part of our nation, and focus on the REAL border - concentrate on the shipping ports.

Welflare? They said the same thing when slaves became actual people with actual rights.

That is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Who is going to pay welfare to a whole entire country full of poor people once they are on the USA gravy train??? You obviously don't have a taxpaying job or a clue! All I can do is laugh at this one!!!

I don't think this will really happen. Its a very far fetched idea. But I have thought about the fact that if Mexico was helped a bit more by us (like help with education and other things that could benefit the country) then less people would be trying to come here. We have been known to reach out to other countries in need, why not our own neighbors? I know there is still a large debt owed to the US by Mexico, but I am not talking about a loan. The new president of Mexico is really trying to help and that is to be applauded, but there are things that we can do too. Instead of complaining about the border, we can help the people of Mexico and then that might slow traffic at the border-and the unnecessary deaths that often happen when these people try to cross. Like I said the new president has been doing a great job, or at least it seems so according to every article I have been reading. I try to follow his campaigns and new laws because my husband is from Mexico, and I like to see that someone is trying to clean up the country's image and lawlessness. Mexico to me is a beautiful place with different aspects. It is very different than here, but at the same time some things are better there, like family values...

and Mexico is not poor if u want to see poor go to Africa or some parts of Asia u don't know how it is in Mexico especially like in large cities like Monterrey and and the federal district or Cancun the reason u white people were whining about your burgers is that your racist and it is not exactly a 5 star restaurant those burgers aren't that good no matter who makes them

We would need to absorb Canada as well. We are NOT "The United North America" we are the "United States". I think Mexico would be scared if we said "we're absorbing you as part of the US". Probably be a big war.

Good Idea. ...That's what we need more taxpayers to fund the war.....hmmmm....while we are at it we should absorb Canada to...then we can stop the bad winter weather before it gets to us.
