Of course otherwise Mexicans wouldn't survive.
Just put it this way while most of regular Americans are making $11 an hour, Mexicans regular workers are making $15 for 8 hours of labor.
That means if a pair of shoes in America cost $40 in Mexico would be about $15 That means if Tequila Cuervo cost in America $40 in Mexico would be $12

Depends on which bar you are drinking but usually it's cheaper than in the US.
In my hometown the hottest clubs sell drinks for about 8 - 20 dollars a glass. Normal bars have drinks around 2-5 dollars each and dodgy ones are known to sell beer as low as 90 cents the bottle.
If you go to the supermarket you can find vodka and tequila bottles from 4 bucks up. Margarita and sangrita mix sell around 3 dollars the liter. Skyy, Boones and similar drinks are about 1.50 for the regular size bottle. Six packs can be found for as cheap as 2 bucks, but good beer is about 8 bucks.
Alcoholic beverages are cheaper in cities than in beaches, but last year in Puerto Vallarta I stocked enough beer, drinks and alcohol for two days for 15 people with only 28 dollars.
If you want to save, you can buy mixed drinks in liters. Some good and safe stores are:
Chacho's, GoChelas y La Pisteria in Monterrey
Las Vaquitas in Puerto Vallarta

you can get anything in mexico a lot cheaper than the states! it all deppends on where or what part of the country you are visit in? like cancun,, you end up paying the same amount of money for a shot of tequila or a beer!! but the only difference is the beach,, and that they are treating you good!! unless you speak spanish and hang out among them!! thats whend you realise that you pay too much even in some parts in mexico, 25 dollars can get you drunk for a week if you know where to go! but l dont recommend it

Friends used to buy booze in Mexico and sneak it in to the US because it was so much cheaper there. One time my friend got caught, the border patrol confiscated his dad's car--and the guards missed one bottle of vodka. That might have been the most expensive bottle of vodka in history, after the impound fees and fines were paid.

Everything is cheaper in Mexico, but they might want more money than they make their local Mexicans pay....just a theory.

the version is alcohol content cloth. besides the shown fact that there is likewise approach of fermentation/preparation and what beginning substrate replaced into used. case in point some wines (normally pink) comprise gamma-hydroxybutyrate aka GHB in small parts. pink grapes are suspected to be the offender. apparently it particularly is not present in bigger distilled spirits which incorporate Vodka or Rum. i think it is the explanation some persons desire wine over the different alcoholic beverage.

Cheaper!!! I mean if you smoke you can get a carton of cigs for about 10 bucks, bottles of Crown are about $5, you don't have to pay the crazy taxes there.

I'm mexican (Living in Mexico), and can say with certainty : It depends
Yes, you can pay $1.00 for a beer, in the crappiest place in town.
On the trendiest places, expect to pay between $4.00 and $5.00 per domestic beer.
O your run-of-the-mill average looking restaurant (enclosed space with waiters) beers should be arount $2.00
On a gas station/ corner store, expect to pay between $5.00 and $6.00 per six pack (non returnable cans). You can also pay about $12.00 per case of 20 beers (you have to bring the returnable empty bottles, though)
On liquors, spirits and Tequilas, prices are similar to the US, as we get taxed to death, unles you purchase them on a duty-free shop on any border (US side) and bring them to Mexico. You can bring up to 3 liters without having to pay any taxes.
