Any suggestions or helpful hints to save money, but get the most out of our trip? .....Me and my husband want to do this. When's the best time to go (as far as price) and where to stay and means of transportation once we're there. I'm not sure where to visit yet, any suggestions for that as well would also be greatly appreciated. Also when your backpacking what kind of stuff should you bring.....how to pack light. Thank you!

Travelling to Italy, Spain, Germany. I was going to purchase the Europass but then it said I had to book a reservation for the train which costs about 1/2 of the pass. Whats the purpose of the pass?

I looked online for flights to these countries and they seem to work out cheaper going there individually without the passes vs. purchasing the passes and then purchasing train reservations. Not to mention the trains take about 13 hours vs. 2 hours on the plane. I am really just trying to understand the pass. I have checked many major websites. I am really looking for someones basic explanation. Thanks in advance. NO WEBSITES PLEASE (UNLESS BEING USED AS SOURCES).

When I went voting, I saw women covered in black clothes... in this heat.

My belief is that, these women are covered by force by their fathers and husbands, and these same women, that have to come out in this sweltering heat in those tents, see me and my like as... well... bad women.

Strangely, there are certain Americans and Europeans who see these women's dresses as a "democratic right". So, the question is:

Who thinks that çarşaf/chador/black tents are democratic rights of a woman (please think about the circumstances as well as the "principle") and why? No foul language, please, I want honest opinions.
