South ''side'' is more developed since Turkish troops never invaded there....If you are under 25-30 i suggest you Ayia Napa.....If you are going with your family, places like Paphos, Protaras, and Limassol are very nice...

Hello,
Well i'm not really sure but Cyprus is divided into 2 parts, the Greek one and the Turkish one. There's also a small british part. You have to be careful because once you've crossed the line from the first to the second one, the Greek part may cause you troubles to get back to the South afterwards. The boundary is called the Attila line and is controlled by the U.N. I don't know if it's still like this but it was 3 years ago. Most holiday makers go to the Greek part, namely the South of the Island.
However, the country is pretty safe and the people is charming. There are lots of things to see and do there. Some little churches are listed World Heritage ( the town of Kato Pafos, or Paphos for instance ) A prehistorical site,Choirokoitia ( near Larnaka ) is also World Heritage. You'll see also archeological remains from the Ancient Greek period, and so on!
The most popular areas are Nicosie, Larnaka, the Troodos region, Limassol, and Paphos. There you'll be able to visit the most popular cultural and natural sites and find the best accommodation providers. Have a good trip!

forget about north side, coz am sure u don wanna meet turks...
beside that the greek cypriot part is MUCH more developed, advanced, nd nider than the other side since turks never managed to invade it...
since u gonna arrive in larnaca airport, i would suggest u before reserving a hotel , go nd visite Agia-napa if u r kindda young nd luv parting nd fun , hangin out with gurls nd nice chicks, nd u r with friends...
BUT if u like calm cozy places nd u r with ur family and older than age of partying nd clubing then imna suggest u to go to paralimni, or protara, or limasol...
mountains are in trodos, nice nature, gr8 weather...
and about paphos i cant give u much imformation...
and just for fun nd c the city nd msium, i would suggest to visite NICOSIA...
and when u r planin to leave Cyprus, imna suggest u to go back to LARNACA and stay there for 3-4 days since its close to airport , it would be easy for u to go str8 there....
have a nice trip there budd,
nd take lot of money with ya;)
peace nd good luck
