I'm traveling to France and England in late September. What type of clothes should I pack?

England can be like what the other answer says of France, warm, sunny, weather for shorts and T-shirts. (Although September has short days and nobody there expects to wear shorts that late in the season.)
It can also be cool, wet, windy and miserable, (as France can be too.)
So also take long trousers, (jeans or alike) and at least two sweaters or fleeces. A rain and wind proof jacket, and be ready to buy an umbrella if the weather turns wet.

not too sure about england but in France (paris anyway) the weather will be warm to hot we where in paris september 2006 and the weather was between 25 and 35 everyday for a week. I have been to Paris 2 times in September and both times weather was great. If you happen to be in paris and its over 30 degree's man its really hot because there is no breeze in the city because all the building stop it.

Northern France has similar weather to UK. Sometimes, there is an "Indian Summer". We can have sunny days with temperatures around 25C. However, it is by no means certain. The forecasters say it will be cool and damp this year.
