In August it will be warm at night but you may want to take a light cardigan out with you in the evenings just incase.
Tenerfife is nowhere near Spain! Its governed by spain but its actually off the coast of Africa, giving it a very different climate to that in Spain.
Remember to take some mosquito repellant to spray on at night otherwise you might get bitten

In Tenerife you certainly can do anything you feel like any time of the entire year as a result of its climate, organic surroundings and tourist infrastructure created for enjoyment for the family so this place is the perfect area for a good holiday and with hotelbye you will get it. In Tenerife are lots of points waiting for you really to discover and one of those is in the south west shore of Tenerife. A spot that is a magnificent area for watching whales free in the ocean. Around 26 species are located only down the shore, including baleen whales, monster whales, dolphins, pilot whales and actually blue whales. In Tenerife you will even see The Teide National Park. At 3,718 metres, Teide volcano is Spain's highest maximum and their two ecosystems make the climb an experience packed with contrasts.

It's depend on the zone. Because in the south island the weather is always hot. But in the North island and Santa Cruz (the capital of the island) at night it refreshes.
I recommend you that you bring a jacket.
I have lived in Tenerife for 10 years and I return every summer.

We had our honeymoon in Tenerife exactly 5 years ago and it normally didn't go below 15-18oC at night. Also, watch it, 'cause many hotels there don't have air-con..... by the way if you like English breakfasts, then there's penty to choose from!!!!
