I know Turkey is a very hospitable country and their people very kind, but have also heard many rumors of women being kidnapped on a rather constant basis and I am a little concerned, but I still want to go. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I want to take a nice exciting vacation to either Italy or Paris or even Africa. I am unmarried and single right now and I do not have any friends or family members that can either afford or have the time to get away and travel w/ me. So I'm wondering if anyone knows of companies that cater to individual or single travelers or have any suggestions. Thanks!

I'm going to Scotland, Ireland, and England for two weeks. I know it is wet and mushy a lot of the time, so I was wondering if I should get rain boots?

The ones I'm looking at are for horse stuff, too, which would be good for me, since I ride. So, should I spend $70 on a nice pair? Or is it too much?

Built in the 6th century, Hagia Sophia — Greek for "Holy Wisdom" — was Christendom's greatest and most celebrated church. After parrying centuries of jihadi thrusts from Arabs, Constantinople — now Istanbul — was finally sacked by Turks in 1453, and Hagia Sophia's crosses were desecrated, its icons defaced. Along with thousands of other churches in the Byzantine Empire, it was immediately converted into a mosque, the tall minarets of Islam surrounding it in triumph. Nearly 500 years later, in 1935, as part of reformer Kemal Ataturk's drive to modernize Turkey, Hagia Sophia was secularized and transformed into a museum.

Is there a Muslim temple that has ever been transformed into a museum in Europe? Should that ever happen?

thanks
Frank

Yes, I know it's quite premature. But, after having my holiday in the Netherlands, I fell in love with the place and had this feeling that I want to move once I finish university. Netherlands, in its own right, is one hell of a country. It possesses an extraordinary culture that will never cease to fascinate me. Such is my fascination that my prospects of moving to Netherlands remains strong.

Any thoughts with respect to employment? Housing? Things to avoid? Things to consider?

Qualification-wise, I currently have 8 GCSEs and 4 A-levels, and I will be reading BSc Economics at University of Birmingham, which commences later this year.

I have three weeks. I'm flying into Manchester, will be there for 3 days, then heading to liverpool, london and anywhere inbetween that we see fit. We'll be there roughly 4 to 5 days. Then from London to Rome, will be in italy for 3 days. I'd like to see florence/venice/ some beaches, then to Barcelona for 7 days. we might have a car there, then to paris for a night, then back to london and to manchester for the last remaining 2 to 3 days. Now, how should we travel around. Will a eurorail and britrail be worth the money? are there cheaper ways of going about this.I hear that eurorail passes dont work on all trains, which ones? I'm assuming we'll be on trains and busses. I just need help i have 3 weeks until we go and need to buy the passes a.s.a.p. but need advice. any would be much appreciated. I've been to so many website and havent found any of them very helpful.
