i will be staying for six days at the hotel with my husband and two young daughters... my husbands will be busy must of the day and I wanted to learn of what can i do when he is busy ...is there anything very close that i can take the kids too such as a park or a shopping mall.. i need to be able to return to the hotel quickly if the kids drive me crazy which they likely will do ....they are only 2 and 4..
any input is highly appreciated

I have only been to Barcelona to go on cruises, but they have a great old Placa Catalunya square, and the fort overlooking the city is gorgeous. The waterfront (which was re-done for the 92 Olympics) really is stunningly gorgeous. Lots of beautiful beaches and shops and what not.
