I have three weeks. I'm flying into Manchester, will be there for 3 days, then heading to liverpool, london and anywhere inbetween that we see fit. We'll be there roughly 4 to 5 days. Then from London to Rome, will be in italy for 3 days. I'd like to see florence/venice/ some beaches, then to Barcelona for 7 days. we might have a car there, then to paris for a night, then back to london and to manchester for the last remaining 2 to 3 days. Now, how should we travel around. Will a eurorail and britrail be worth the money? are there cheaper ways of going about this.I hear that eurorail passes dont work on all trains, which ones? I'm assuming we'll be on trains and busses. I just need help i have 3 weeks until we go and need to buy the passes a.s.a.p. but need advice. any would be much appreciated. I've been to so many website and havent found any of them very helpful.

Eurail does not work in England.
Check individual tickets against a pass, you are not going to travel that much in the UK:
http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
Remember that in the UK you may not get out of the train station on in-between stations on a normal ticket.
(That is, you get a separate ticket for each leg of a journey.)

London to Rome, look at the prices for flights:

Italy and Spain and France might be worth a pass, but again, check it against tickets.
If you want to go to Paris for one night, you need to travel by train, here you can find the french train info, if you do not use a pass:
http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/_SvHomePage?_DLG=SvHomePage&_CMD=cmdHomepageUK&WB=HP&rfrr=4685ac17fd2e7656e4918c53b246a3f7
This site will show you how much you need to pay when using the fast trains.

Lastly, the site for the Eurail information:

Having lived in Germany for 3 years and visited most of those countries it is possiable to visit them all 2 weeks. Train is best when it comes to travel though, there are ways to travel other than train, but not as reliable. Train is fastest and it always runs. They also have these things for the train called family tickets, and it is about 40 euro and 5 people can ride on the ticket ALL day long, no need to buy any other tickets. Spain is beautiful, but you need at least 3-4 days to see everything, same with france. There is way too much to do in these places to rush through them. As for switzerland, and Italy, these you could do in a day or 2, they are so small and you can get from one side to the other in 6 hours driving time. Germany is beactiful, but you should really go to Berlin, and Koln, and Munich if you cant get anywhere else. Good luck and safe travels. and dont forget to have a good time.

Don't waste three days in Manchester. You can see everything worth seeing from the airport. Liverpool you can do in a day. Spend the extra time in London. Three days in Rome, okay. But for all of Italy???? I don't think so. Florence alone would take three days at least. Venice in two. Take trains when you can, but travelling by itself takes time. You don't always get connections when you want or need them. Going to and from airports is a time killer. Trains may take longer but when you factor in to and from time, you're actually ahead of the game taking trains.

Flying Ryanair is cheap, but as someone noted, they fly from out of the way airports thus making them difficult to get to, transfer from and to, and they usually leave VERY early in the morning. Good luck.

Trains are great in Europe. The eurorail is very good. Also look on the internet for Ryanair.com. Very good air company and very cheap. They use the smaller airports outside the cities in Europe. Dont forget that UK does not have the euro

The eurorail is probably the easiest way to go. Try looking here http://articles.directorym.com/Europe-a99.html for some more travel ideas to get you around Europe.
