I recently moved to Vancouver from Toronto and I notice how none of the signs here are bilingual. In Ontario, there were bilingual signs that were both English and French (directions east-est, etc.).

Is French less used out west?

What is the best way to travel from Niagara Falls - Ontario to Montreal - Quebec? It can be either bus or train and which is less expensive. If you have details, I like to hear.

Is it true that Canada is a Land of Slavery? I mean every immigrants arrive in cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. After they do so, their careers, finances and lives are destroyed...

I am here in U.S right now and i am planning to have a new life there and I though Canada has a lot of opportunities than U.S... Canada is too expensive to live, the wages and cost of living up there are terrible!

I heard somewhere that you need a parent with you if you want to get out of the country and you're under 18. Me and my friends live in NY and we want to see Iron Maiden in Canada (there's one in NJ but this just seems cooler). One of my friends is 18 and me and my other friend are both 17, we all have passports and all that but what else do we need and do we need a parent.

I'm an American citizen at the University of BC. I study Statistics and International Business.

When will Canadians stop bashing the USA and its foreign policies? I am appalled at the amount of anti-American sentiment in this country . You people should be ashamed of yourselves.
As you sit in your Levi jeans and Nike shoes, sipping Starbucks coffee while watching the latest Hollywood blockbuster, you attack the very people and structure that made your way of life possible .
It was American consumerism that created such demand for technology that variety, quality, and prices continue to improve.

Where would you be without the USA? Would you even be a democratic nation? Would you enjoy the technology that exists in every Canadian household?
Who is the cause of Canada's surplus economy?
It's about time you people realize how much the USA means to your nation.

The Majority of people in Canada speak English as their first language, but in the Canadian province of Quebec, most people speak French as their first language. This is one reason many people in Quebec have felt that Quebec should separate from Canada and become an independent country. Supporters of this idea have believed that

A) regions once defined should never be changed

B) political boundaries should reflect the cultural characteristics of regions.

C) economic boundaries are defined by the physical resources of a region

D) physical characteristics are more important than cultural characteristics in defining regions.
