I noticed that internet video streaming is not allowed outside of Canada. Is this due to a law? What is the reason for restricting video streaming?

American networks have the restrictions on their sites, we cannot view episodes of shows on-line. However, I find them from other countries anyway, like Spain, Japan, Britain, the Netherlands, countries that do not discriminate, so to heck with the US networks and their isolationist policies. Not to mention, some of the same shows are on-line from the Canadian networks.

This is actually not correct you may be mistaken or confused, but canada does not have any restrictions on video access outside her borders or anything like that.

In Fact I think that pretty much the lest restrictions on internet activity in canada of most nations in the world, you much have been on a slow connection or something? perhaps dial-up?

The two previous folks haven't got a clue what you're referring to---I however do. For those who don't understand, I'll break it down for you:

For us Canadians who go onto a major television site i.e. ABC, CBC, NBC and wish to watch full episodes on their site--we aren't able to and they always state something like, 'Only viewers within the United States can watch these full-length episodes.'

What is the reason? I have no idea, but it sucks!

Canada is actually a civilized country and we have the same itnernet everyone has. Are you confusing us with some third world country that is under military rule?
