I was just wondering where I could find a cheap place to stay. I am going to Guangzhou with a group of people to help with translating and this kind of things and will take the occasion to go to Hong Kong to visit a University I wish to attend. Hotels are too expensive: I will only sleep there anyway so I don't need anything fancy. Under HK$200 a day would be a reasonable price for me.

Where can I find people willing to take me as a guest for a small fee? Is the internet reliable?

Thanks in advance.

i just came to china but i really tried to understand their cultures however,i want to know the right way to ask the chinese girls out. There is this other cute one but she likes to tell me that chinese are not open like many countries and they like to hide their emotions especially to foreigners, which means even if they don't like you or not happy about you is hard for you to tell. I have just found out that many chinese girls are shy and trustworthy. I just want the right way to get a chinese chick and things they do if they are interested in a guy please, oh en i can speak some chinese. xie xie!

I remember learning last year about ancient China having a two children only Population Law. Can anyone give me more information on that?

I`m trying to connect it to the Population Law in Among the Hidden, by Margaret Haddix.

I live in China but have been told by friends that birth control pills manufactured here are unreliable. Does anyone have any idea if the pills in Hong Kong (where I will be going for a visit soon) are any more reliable? Can they be purchased there without a prescription? If a prescription is needed, do you know if I can visit a family planning clinic in Hong Kong or is that service only available to HK residents? Or can someone recommend a private doctor to visit?
Any advice appreciated. Thank you for serious answers.

I, personally am against it. My dad however came from China and is a fiercely loyal Chinese man. Hes kinda pissed now since I decided to go as a Kuominang (taiwanese) Solider for Hallowe'en. I dont get it, my familty was quite wealthy in China but twhen the culteral revolution hit, we were left with nothing, the riches my family worked hard to make was taken,so my dad has felt firsthand the effects of communism. But he likes communism! WTF? But he hates Mao Zedong
