If you are not blind, ask yourself this:

Why is it that the country of origin is only mentioned when the stories are about products from China?

Why is it that in every one of those stories in the U.S. media, the "Chinese-made" or "China made" label is prominently emphasized from the start and repeated many times throughout every story? But the same treatment is not given to recalled products from other countries?

Why is it that when tens of millions of pounds of processed meat produced in the U.S. were recalled in June due to botulism contamination, then E. coli tainted spinach, and more recently massive amounts of E. coli tainted beef, the stories in the U.S. media never said "U.S.-produced..." or "American-made"?

Why is it that when Nokia recalled nearly 50 million batteries made by a Japanese manufacturer due to overheating problems and potential to cause burns, the stories in the U.S. media never mentions the country of origin, which was Japan?

Why is it that when 1 million baby cribs from South Africa are recalled, the stories don't say "South African made", and only mentions South Africa once at the very end?

Why does the U.S. media rarely ever focus on the country of origin in stories about dangerous and defective products except when such products are from China?

If you want to talk about "conspiracies", then the only conspiracy obvious here is the one from the U.S. media working in concert with the U.S. government.

Dubya and the right wing and the brainiac christians feel threatened by China's rising economy. They do this stuff all the time. They did it with Japan. They trash them real good in the news, dummies buy the concept, then when the US government does something stupid all the neocons go, "Guk guk guk. Good un, Dubya." It's stupid as bacon jelly. China could also be a rising ally. Not the way they are being treated, but they could be.
